The perfect summer night at a classic American drive-in movie in 1965, reimagined as an indoor experience within a 40,000 square-foot air-supported dome. The environment, created by some of the top theatrical, film and theme park designers, features stunning attention to detail, including 50 authentic classic cars, dozens of full-sized trees, grass, gravel pathways, hammocks, a panoramic starry sky overhead, fireflies, and, of course, a stunning August “sailor’s moon” glowing orange and red, just above the tree line.

2018-2019 – Baltimore Orioles owner John Angelos approached Counts to help reimagine the experience of going to see a Major League Baseball Game, and provide new ways for the organization to connect and engage with their fans. In anticipation of the 2019 opening day, Counts, along with his hand picked team of producers and creative service providers, is implementing a suite of entertainment properties that will elevate and redefine the fan experience.
Coming in 2019 - Michael Counts’ critically acclaimed production of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize winning opera Madame White Snake will be remounted as part of the 2019 Hong Kong Arts Festival.
One of China’s most well-known folktales, Madame White Snake is the story of a demon in pursuit of love. Hailed as “deeply expressive,” this opera’s unique musical language blends Chinese and Western elements, and named composer Zhou Long the first Chinese laureate of the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2011.

February 2018 – After more than 15 years working with effectiveness and personal growth coaches, Counts conceived an approach that he and others now view as Coaching 2.0. A-Plan is an optimized version of traditional coaching, amplified by a unique and highly effective method, a smartphone app, content curation, and the tracking of key metrics. Company co-founder Sara Ellis Conant is a highly celebrated and sought after coach who holds an MBA from Stanford and led the creation of Deloitte’s Values Based Business and Corporate Responsibility Division. Founded in 2018, the company has grown to include 10 coaches, a management staff, and 50 clients, including the Tides Foundation. As founding CEO, Counts leads the team overseeing all aspects of the business, bringing his vision to the product and user experience design.
Amgen – The Repatha Escape
In late 2017, Counts was engaged by Amgen, one of the world’s largest privately held pharmaceutical companies, to create an immersive attraction as a means of extending an international advertising campaign and engaging doctors and industry trade ambassadors at the International College of Cardiologists Convention and other other trade shows. Based on the “escape” concept of the existing campaign, the attraction took the form of a complex and high-tech escape room experience. Amgen is already remounting it in other cities and with plans of expansion in 2019 and beyond.
HOODOO: The Legend of Creole Joe
An immersive and transportive touring experience slated to be launched Berlin, Germany in 2019/20 that will render a late night creole house party in New Orleans. Featuring live music, food, theatrical performers, immersive set pieces and a cast imported from New Orleans and Southeast Texas, this one-of-a-kind production, was conceived and produced by music legend Nick Sample and will bring the viewer the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the Bayou.
